Sketched Jiu Jitsu is born from the notebook of a lifelong martial artist.
I'm Ben, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Kev Capel (Roger Gracie), and I've been training since early 2000's.
After every class, I’d fill my notebooks with sketches—breaking down techniques, capturing movement, and preserving the feeling of the roll.
Over time, those simple sketches started to catch people’s eyes. Friends, students, and fellow grapplers kept asking about them, and I realised I wasn’t the only one who saw the art in the fight.
Today, Sketched Jiu Jitsu is my way of sharing that passion with the wider BJJ community. Each design is 100% hand drawn—no AI, no automation—just ink, intuition, and a love for the game.
Whether you're a white belt or a seasoned black belt, I hope these pieces reflect the flow, grit, and beauty of your own journey.
